7-Day Antalya Itinerary With Kids (Ages 5-12)
A tested 7-day plan for families with kids 5-12: not too packed, one big adventure a day, downtime built in. ## Where to stay Base yourself in **Lara** for beach + family resorts or **Konyaaltı** for a shorter drive to old town and airport. Skip Kemer/Belek unless you specifically want an all-inclusive resort — you'll spend more time on the coach getting to the good stuff. ## Day 1 — Arrival + Konyaaltı beach Airport [VIP transfer](/tours/airport-transfer-vip) with car seats (book in advance). Check in, lunch, then afternoon at Konyaaltı — pebble beach with a huge shaded playground (Beach Park). Dinner in the old town cafés overlooking the harbour. ## Day 2 — Kaleiçi old town + Antalya Aquarium Morning: gentle 2-hour walk through [Kaleiçi](/attractions/kaleici) — Hadrian's Gate, Yivli Minaret, harbour. Kids get ice cream from the dondurmacı who does the flip-and-hide trick. Afternoon: Antalya Aquarium at Konyaaltı (world's longest tunnel aquarium, 131 m). Downtime by the pool 17:00-19:00. Family dinner near the marina. ## Day 3 — Land of Legends (theme park day) One full day at [Land of Legends](/tours/land-of-legends-ticket) in Belek. Rides, water park, dolphin show. Get there at opening (10:00) — queues triple by noon. It's expensive but it's the single best kids' day in Antalya. Fast-pass wristbands worth every euro on summer weekends. ## Day 4 — Downtime + Düden Waterfalls Morning at the hotel pool — kids need recovery days. Late afternoon: **Lower Düden Waterfalls** — 40 m into the sea from clifftops, boat rides underneath. Stroller-friendly path, cool sea spray. Free entry to the park; boat 5 €/person. ## Day 5 — Boat tour, kid-friendly version Skip Suluada (long day, 10 hours). Instead take a short **Kemer pirate boat**: 4 hours, 3 swim stops in bays, kids' entertainment on board, buffet lunch. Around 25 €/adult, 12 €/child. Ask us for a good operator — some are dreadful, others excellent. ## Day 6 — Aspendos + local rafting-fun Morning: [Aspendos amphitheatre](/attractions/aspendos-theatre) — kids love the acoustic tricks (drop a coin from stage 3, they hear it in row 40). Then a short easy stretch of the Köprüçay river on rubber rafts with kids-only guides — the 'rafting fun' operators do a 4 km grade I section suitable from age 5. Not the same as our full [rafting tour](/tours/koprulu-canyon-rafting) which is grade II+ and min age 7. ## Day 7 — Slow morning, pool, transfer Relax at the resort. Late lunch at a Kaleiçi rooftop. [VIP airport transfer](/tours/airport-transfer-vip) home. ## What to skip on a first family trip - **Pamukkale day trip** with kids under 10 — 8 hours of driving destroys everyone. Do it as an overnight if you must. - **Cappadocia 2-day tour** — 10-hour bus each way. Fly there separately if you want. - **Termessos** — brutal uphill climb. - **Traditional Turkish hammam** — most operators won't take under-16s to the historical Kaleiçi ones anyway. ## Kid-friendly restaurants - **Vanilla** (Kaleiçi) — international, high chairs, quiet garden. - **Big Chefs** (multiple) — reliable menu, quick service. - **Balıkçı Kâhya** — fresh fish, kids' pasta on the menu. ## Practical must-haves - Bring reef-safe sunscreen SPF 50+ — Turkish pharmacy sunscreen is expensive. - Small first-aid kit including electrolyte sachets for pool-diet upsets. - Refillable bottles — every attraction has drinking-water fountains now. - **Book VIP airport transfer both ways in advance** with car seats. Public taxi drivers won't have proper seats and this is not optional with small kids. > **Book your VIP airport transfer** with baby/child seats: [/tours/airport-transfer-vip](/tours/airport-transfer-vip)
